Proofreading and certification of the documents are included

3.
Does Arabic or Japanese cost more to translate than Spanish?
Yes, a Japanese or Arabic translation will cost more than a
Spanish translation. This is due to the market: there are many
more Spanish language translators than Japanese or Arabic. The
lower the volume of translation worldwide in a language, the
more expensive the per-word rate for that language. Also, languages
such as Japanese and Arabic may present alphabet, font, and
formatting issues not found in Spanish translations. |

4.
What is a certified translation? Does your company provide certified
translations?
We do provide certified translations. Usually a certified translation
is required for immigration or academic purposes, or for legal
or "official purposes." The translated document is
certified by adding a cover letter to the translation, which
states that the translation is complete and accurate, to the
best of our knowledge. The translation contains the signature
of the Translations Coordinator, and then is signed and stamped
with a raised notary seal by a Notary Public. Additional copies
may be obtained anytime for an extra charge. |
| |
5.
Can your company certify a document that I have already translated
myself?
No, in order for us to certify a document, we have to ensure
that it is a true and accurate translation of the original.
A document must be translated by one of our translators in order
to receive a certification from our company. |
| |
6.
How quickly can your company translate a document?
Our normal turnaround time is 3-5 business days for smaller
projects. However, the turnaround time is ultimately determined
by the word count and technicality of the document. Please fill
out the quote form or give us a call and we will be happy to
include the turnaround time along with the price in the quote
that we return to you. |
| |
7.
In what manner and format does your company need to receive
documents to be translated?
We can receive documents via email in the format of your choice
(Word, PDF, Power Point, or others), or if you only have hard
copies, you can fax, mail, or send them by courier. |
| |
8.
How will the document be returned to me?
Your translation is returned to you in the same format in which it was presented to us, as a default. However, our translators are capable of working in and converting to several popular design formats on your behalf. Your translation project manager will discuss these options with you before we begin the translation. |
| |
9.
Do you count numbers and words like 'a' and 'the' when considering
the word count in a document?
Yes, our final word count is based on the electronic word count
of the translated language (target language). This is an industry
standard and is really the only consistent and fair way of charging
between translators and clients. |
| |
10.
Are translations done by human translators or machines?

by human translators, who translate into their native language
and are experts on the subjects in which they translate. |
